We understand that many patients maybe nervous visiting the dentist, so we at Milton Dental Clinic will make your visit as comfortable and stress free as possible.
Intra Venous Sedation is ideal for patients that are nervous of dental treatment or who have had a bad experience previously at the dentist.
What is Intra Venous Sedation?
Sedation is when a drug is given before dental treatment starts. It makes you become drowsy and are not aware of having any treatment. Most patients do not remember anything of their visit. When you sedated you still remain conscious and are able to understand and co-operate with the dentist. Sedation lets you get all the treatment finish in one visit normally.
Sedation induces a state of deep relaxation and produces either partial or full memory loss so it may appear as if you were ‘asleep’ during the procedure.
We offer sedation on the NHS and privately.
If you are a new patient or existing patient please contact the practice on 0141-336-3549 and one of our friendly team will make you a consultation appointment with your dentist. Your dentist will do a full examination and see if sedation will be suitable for you.
If you are referred patient from another practice, once we receive your referral form from your dentist we will contact you to make consultation appointment.
If you are exempt from NHS charges
If you receive benefits we will require £30 deposit on your consultation appointment before the sedation appointment can be made. You will receive this deposit back after your sedation. If you miss your sedation appointment you will lose your £30 deposit as a fine.
If you pay for your NHS treatment and for Private Patients
At your consultation appointment you will be given a full estimate and if you are happy to proceed you will be asked to make payment in full before we will able to book your sedation appointment.
